Being “Simple” Isn’t A Bad Thing

Being “Simple” Isn’t A Bad Thing 0

We live in a world full of “Instagram Baddies” and “Facebook Hotties”. But what about those of us who are referred to as “simple”? Some say we are simple because we choose to “cover up” our body parts. Others call us simple because we aren’t “drooled over” on a daily basis. Then some say we’re simple because we work extremely hard for everything we have and no one is “paying our bills” for us.

Being labeled as “simple” isn’t a bad thing. You can turn into an “Instagram Baddie” on tomorrow and a “Facebook Hottie” the next day. Don’t allow ANYONE to make you feel as if you are less beautiful or less attractive because they seem to think you are “simple”.

Seriously, don’t consume your thoughts with what people think of you. The most important question is, what do you think of yourself?

Relax Using Essential Oils…

How do you relax? Is it music? Could it be working out or even a nap? Well, whatever it may be, try an essential oil with it! Essential oils have great smells and even can bring life to your skin and your mind. Everyone is not hip to them, but they work wonderfully. Here is one!

Clary Sage- clary sage can be a body relaxer, home cleaner, and even help you refocus and center yourself. This essential oil will help with sleepless nights. Trust me, I have tried it and it works! This little magic can be found at your local Walmart and Whole Foods. This oil can be pricey, but may be found for about $10.00 at your local Walmart.

How to use it- some essential oils are found in a droplet bottle with the droplet nozzle and others are found like a droplets bottle itself, those are the less messy ones unless you prefer the bottle with the droplet nozzle! Find bottles from your local dollar store such as Dollar General, Family Dollar, and Dollar Tree. Then, purchase a $0.99 clear or colored spray bottle (color for a pop of color in any room of your house). Place a few drops (10 or less) it depends on how relaxed or focused you want to be, with your $0.99 spray bottle; spray your room or favorite sitting spot, pillow, or your entire bed and begin to relax…… Now the most popular thing that's out there are the vaporizers that some use for their essential oils or even the potpourri pots that fumigate your homes to relax. Whether it’s a potpourri pot, vaporizer, or the spray bottle, don’t use too much!!! Really use it for those “SUPER Stressed” days or when your thoughts are everywhere.

Give it a try! Clary Sage is one that works and can be found again at your local Walmart and Whole Foods. Also, it smells great and relaxes you! P.S.....This can be a romantic oil for a candle lit dinner for your true love.

Floral on Floral

Floral on Floral 0

Floral has become a year round print. From floral dresses, blouses, pants, and even accessories (scarves, earrings, necklaces, hats, and belts), floral print is popular in the fashion world.

Mixing prints is fun! But, what about pairing the same print? That’s even better!

Floral on floral makes for a beautiful sense of style, when paired correctly. Pair a simple pattern floral dress with a bold floral belt. Try pairing a yellow floral blouse with a black floral cap (wear with jeans and simple sneakers or flats). Be bold and pair a floral skirt with a neutral floral sleeveless blouse or tank top!

Floral on floral! Give it a try and let me know how you paired it!

POP of Color!!!

POP of Color!!! 0

It’s Summer!!! That means break out the five S’s: Sandals, Sun Hats, Sundresses, Shorts, and Sunglasses. But, while you’re doing that thing….???? You know, putting winter clothes up and bringing summer clothes out. Add a pop of color!!!

  1. Lipstick- Add a bold lipstick to your outfit! Remember that your pieces can be on point, but a red lip will surely make it pop! And, if you’re not a fan of a red lip, then find a lip color that speaks to you and make your outfit be a bold statement!

      2.  Belts- Let's brighten and livin our outfits up with a yellow or grass green belt. Why yellow and grass green? Well, those are your spring colors transitioning into the summer colors! So, go ahead and do a golden yellow and a lime or grass green belt to shake up those summer fits that were already in your closet!!!

      3.  Bracelets- Bangles and Woody bracelets of color are simple but will bring much attention. Say you’re wearing something you already have, but it is a little detail that they didn't pay attention to. Bright orange, vibrant blues, blinding yellows and a catchy red will always give the outfit a lift.

So, don’t always buy something new, just add a pop of color to you!
