What Can I Get From You?

What Can I Get From You?

Have you ever come across someone in life who only stays in your “good graces”, so that they can get something from you?

I’m writing about this topic because someone was telling me that this happens to her a lot. She says that some of the people in her life are only around so they can get what they need from her. I told her that I think it’s a good thing that some people find her to be resourceful. She said it’s not necessarily resources they are looking for but the fact that they are “too lazy” to do certain things for themselves, so they come to her.

She says that she doesn’t mind helping people, but often times she gives them the resources or tells them certain things to make their life better and they choose not to do it. They would rather for her to do things for them or they only pop in and say hi to make it easier for them to ask for something in the future when they need it.

I told her that I’m no expert, but I’ll get the thoughts of others and see what they think about the situation.

Feel free to leave your thoughts (these are your thoughts, there is no right or wrong answer)!

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. #mypinkleopard

As I read your piece I realized that everyone has a mission in life and that is to please God not man. It is sad that some people can be such users it is up to her to allow people to get her talents for free or if she wants to start a business. If she enjoys helping others and it is her passion then she should consider charging a fee for her time and abilities . This way it is a win-win for everyone. When something is your passion you never work you love what you do and why not have a daily joy. You may never become rich monetarily yet you are excited for how you are able to help others with a peace and joy that only God can give. Just my thoughts and praying that God leds and guide you.

Maybe she should make it a business it seems that it is her passion and she is good at it so this might be her gift. By her doing this it is a win-win and being left feeling used or unappreciated. If this is her passion she will never work another day in her life because of the joy she has for what she does. It’s not being rich it is about doing your gift. I encourage her to walk in her purpose because we only get one life and deserve to have joy and peace. Please let her know that I am praying for her that God guides her in only a way Hr can so she can walk out in faith and He lines things up for her. I am so excited for her because her life is not going to be the same when she walks out in faith.

Thank you for sharing! This happens quite often. I personally think our world has been set up to keep people in an enslaved and robotic mentality which makes it a comfort zone for them. It is ok to reach out for help, but when someone is willing to show you the way in order for you to function independently, that should be a signal that you was once sipping out the bottle now it’s time to move the a sippy cup scenario and later progress to the next levels. I truly understand the statement that they are “too lazy” is because they have became comfortable and it can become draining physically and mentally especially if you have provided the person with tools they need to do things themselves.
