White Lies and Watery Eyes

White Lies and Watery Eyes

Have you ever been lied to? Have you ever been lied to and then when you found out the truth you were told “it was just a little white lie” or “I was just joking”?

Google dictionary defines “white lie” (noun) as a harmless or trivial lie, especially one told to avoid hurting someone's feelings.

Even if it’s a harmless lie, a lie is still a lie. Some lies will leave you with watery eyes… tears…. real tears. You feel horrible and in some instances even betrayed. It’s not a good feeling. As you read this, you may be thinking about a lie that was recently told to you.

Think about how you felt when you were lied to.

Think about how someone feels when you lie to them: when you tell a “little white lie” or “just joking”.

The other person that you lied to or lied about has feelings also. Remember that!

I really like that. That’s so true and it made me reflect back on my life and how i have been hurt by lies in my lifetime…
